This Hot Apple Cider with Bourbon recipe is one of our favorite pick me ups for cool fall days. All it takes to make this recipe is some fresh pressed apple cider, a touch of cinnamon, and a good shot of bourbon.
Pour the apple cider into a pot, add two cinnamon sticks, and heat on a low simmer for at least 30 minutes.
The cider is ready to go when it starts to steam. Note: it can take a while for the cinnamon flavor to come through in the cider, so if you have the time let it steep on low heat for longer than 30 minutes.
Pour the apple cider into mugs, add a shot of bourbon to each, and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
