A Perfect Manhattan
The Perfect Manhattan gets its name from the equal amounts of sweet and dry vermouth in it. It’s also no surprise that a classic cocktail recipe named after Manhattan would have a variation that considers itself perfect.
A Perfect Manhattan is a great choice for anyone who thinks regular Manhattans are a touch too sweet.
Like all Manhattans, this cocktail is better stirred than shaken. The reason drinks like this are better stirred is that stirring produces a smoother, silkier drink that highlights the vermouth.
We prefer to garnish our Perfect Manhattans with a lemon twist, instead of the traditional cherry, to compliments the flavors in the vermouth. For more recipes like this, check out our Classic Cocktail section.
