The simple syrup is done when the sugar is completely dissolved in the liquid. After it’s dissolved it can be stored in a small bottle.
Storing simple syrup in a small squeeze bottle makes it easy to work. The syrup should be stored in the fridge and can last for several weeks.
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- In a small saucepan, stir the sugar and water together over medium-low heat. Continue stirring until the liquid turns clear.
- Remove the simple syrup from the heat and let it cool before storing in the fridge.
