Vinaigrette Salad Dressing

By Mark Hinds | Updated January 23, 2026

It is the simplest thing in the world to make vinaigrette salad dressing. This quick vinaigrette recipe is delicious and a great way to start making your own homemade salad dressings.

Homemade salad dressings are easy to make and let you avoid all the extra stuff in grocery store salad dressings. I make this vinaigrette right in the salad bowl, whisking everything together, adding lettuce and any other veggies going into the salad. I also make big batches to keep in the refrigerator, to add to chopped up raw veggies for lunches and snacks.
