Elevate a simple dish of olives by baking them for a few minutes before serving them to your guests. Baking the olives gives them a buttery texture and mellow flavor.

Mixed olives from grocery store olive bars work well for this recipe.

Serve the olives with toothpicks and cocktail napkins for the pits, and make sure to warn your guests if there are pits in the olives.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint olives
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch dried oregano or thyme, optional

Instructions

  • Thirty minutes before you want to serve the olives, drizzle them with a little olive oil, and a pinch of dried oregano.
  • Put the olives into a baking dish and bake at 300โ„‰ (149โ„ƒ) for 15 minutes.
  • The olives can be served straight from the baking dish.
